  1. Times are changing and for two of my outlets the decision has come to close their galleries.

The Rostra Gallery in Bath which has been selling my work on and off since 1997 have closed their High Street doors in favour of online selling and opening 3 or 4 pop up shops per year in Bath. You can read more about their new ventures here and I'll be keeping you posted when their next pop up shop opens. https://www.rostragallery.co.uk/about. I do not currently have any work placed with them as I've decided to add it to my own shop on this website.

Then theres Shakespeares Glass decision to let the Taunton Gallery go and concentrate on their Langport Gallery where Will has his kilns ooh and lets not forget they have a lovely cafe there too.Langport Gallery will continue to stock my work and I'll soon be making a new delivery for spring. https://shakspeareglass.co.uk/pages/langport-gallery

So slightly sad news but as I said times are changing and I wish them both every sucess and hope you'll keep checking them out to see whats new or just keep reading my blog for news of their progress.

  2. Hi, this is my first post for 2019. January is always a time to reflect and then plan. This year I decided to build on some of last years ideas when I started a fur & feathers line. Its a great time of year for birdwatching in my area, the Somerset Levels attract lots of migratory ducks in winter, so last weekend I headed out with new binoculars and Rob as my cameraman and this is what we saw.view from Catcott hide Jan 19

Lots of Wigeon, Teal, a few Pintails at Catcott,  then onto Greylake an RSPB reserve where we also saw Snipe and a few Lapwings amongst the hundreds of ducks trying to shelter from the wind.

What has this to do with jewellery ?  Well being able to see the birds up close allows you to see some amazing patterns and colours in their feathers. How could I not be inspired ?
