  1. New Years Eve, a time for reflection and resolutions. Looking back, no one could have imagined this year would turn out as it did. For many a year where nothing happened, for others a year that changed their lives.

I have found myself feeling sad and apprehensive these last few days but a few mornings ago I woke up to this view from my window.

    rainbow of hope for blog

There seem to have been an unusually large amount of rainbows this month and considering the special meaning they have taken on this year it could be seen as a sign that nature is telling us" There is hope ".  So I'm going into the New Year as usual with a Rum & Coke and a list of things I want to achieve. (thought I'd better lighten the mood there)

I'd like to thank The NHS and ALL KEY WORKERS that have kept our country running in such difficult times and to wish each and every one of us a Happier new Year.

  2.

So Christmas hasn't been so chaotic this year. More time to write cards, fewer presents to wrap, less food to prepare but more Zoom meetings and phone calls to loved ones and friends.

I managed to get out to some local bird reserves last week and was rewarded with the site of an enormous flock of Lapwings, so big it was like a murmuration. Unfortunatly it happened so fast I didn't get a photo, but the sight will stay with me and sometimes thats the most important thing.

I've also been trying my hand at animation so I'm going to share with you my first creation. A fictional Xmas story about a hedgehog, inspired by the hedgehog that has taken residence in a friends garden. I hope you enjoy it, it was fun to make.

  3. Hi everyone,

All these Butterfly trips the last few years have had an effect on me and I've been thinking of ways I can incorporate these wonderful creatures into my work. Some of you may remember the earrings I made but I've been threatening to add some ceramics to my website for, well I can't remember how long. So here at last is something I have made that I think will compliment my jewellery and be a product I can develop further.

Made from Porcelain, these tiny dishes are for putting your rings or necklace in until you wear it again,or anything tiny you wish to store in view.

OH and in case you are wondering what happened to the Green man, Well I made a few but they didn't come out quite like I expected them to, colours were a bit dark and muddy. Back to the drawing board on that project.
