  1. Hi everyone,

just realised I never fulfilled my promise to show you pictures from Vietnam. We were looking at them wistfully at the weekend so I'm just quickly going to show you the beautiful necklace we bought because if anyone you know is travelling to Hoi An in Vietnam they should visit this shop. Its called Reaching Out and is easy to find at 103 Nguyen Thai Hoc. All the beautiful Crafts there are made by people with disabilities so by buying goods there you are helping to support these artists who are wonderfully talented.  Like all Eastern countries you can buy copies of almost anything in the markets but I found the work there to be original and skilfully crafted, like this necklace whose design is based on both the Lanterns the town is famed for and the Lotus Blossom, a symbol of purity in Budhist religions.

  2. Hi everyone,

I've been a bit quiet for this time of year. Thats because I just got back from 3 weeks in Vietnam. It was a holiday for me & my partner to celebrate a very special Anniversary. If I had to sum it up I would say Vietnam is hectic, hot, with great food, extremly kind & helpful people, some beautiful scenery in amongst the turmoil of rebuilding. A very go ahead and positive country. I have come back feeling exhausted but exhilarated.

As for Christmas, I am finding it very hard to get focused, but I have great plans for the New Year both for my website & the way I will trade.

Watch out over the next week for some photos of my adventures & some of the lovely crafts we saw in Vietnam.

  3. Not long to go now till the Made in Wrington Christmas Art Fest and heres a taste of some totally new work I have been creating.

Inspired by the leaving of the Swallows and Swifts from our area the piece is made from a combination of Sterling Silver and Anodised Aluminium.

Don't forget visit Jane Geeson's Studio to view my work. See last blog entry for details about the weekend but I have added a map so you can easily find us. Have fun !
